The Big River Inn, built in 1879 during the days of the midwest trapping and hunting era, was originally only an old Western Inn for food and adult beverages.

In 1970, Kenny Beck, who was the owner at that time, recognized the need for a hotel in the area, an purchased the adjacent home. This home was the foundation for what is today the Big River Inn Hotel. Our A6, B3, and B6 Rooms are parts of the original house.
